Lipoflavonoid vs Tinnitus Miracle

Lipoflavonoid (Lipo) is a proprietary product sometimes used as a treatment for people suffering from tinnitus. But the question is whether or not it really works, and how it compares to other, more holistic treatments for tinnitus. To cut right to the heart of the issue: Is Lipoflavonoid or Tinnitus Miracle more likely to provide a complete tinnitus cure for you?

Lipo was developed in the 1960′s. Since then, it has been shown to be effective in treating the symptoms of Meniere’s disease.

The Argument for Lipoflavonoid

One of the symptoms of Meniere’s disease is a form of tinnitus. Here’s what a research paper published in Otology, Rhinology and Laryngology in 1963 had to say on the subject:

In a study of 197 patients, a significant percentage of those treated with Lipoflavonoid showed improvements in their hearing.

This seems to make a powerful case for using Lipo to treat other forms of tinnitus as well. But there’s one little fly in the ointment.

The Argument Against Lipoflavonoid

In 1966, the Audiology Center of Walter Reed Hospital conducted a double-blind, placebo-controlled study of the effects of the active ingredient of Lipo on people with hearing loss that was not associated with Meniere’s Disease. Of all the study participants who took Lipo, how many showed improvement?

None of them. The only person in the study who did show improvement was in the group given a placebo! As you can imagine, this result was very disappointing to everyone involved.

What’s going on here?

Now I’m not a doctor or a research scientist or anything like that, but it seems to me that the studies were looking at two different things.

The 1963 study covered Meniere’s disease sufferers who had tinnitus and were treated with Lipoflavonoid. The 1966 study covered tinnitus sufferers in general who were treated with Lipo. People with a disease that sometimes causes tinnitus versus people with tinnitus that wasn’t specifically caused by that disease.

From those results, it seems possible that the Lipo treats Meniere’s disease, which of course reduces that disease’s side effects, one of which is tinnitus. In other words, the Lipo isn’t treating the tinnitus at all. The ringing in the ears just goes away as the Lipo treats the disease.

To summarize, people whose tinnitus is related to Meniere’s Disease may benefit from the use of Lipoflavonoid. People whose tinnitus comes from other causes will probably not benefit from using this product.

Compare the Lipoflavonoid results to those from a holistic product. Lipo seems to be very effective on tinnitus that has a single cause, Meniere’s disease.

But holistic products look to address all of the possible causes at once, since any one person’s tinnitus can have a variety of causes. A holistic approach is more complicated than simply taking a single medication, but it has a much better chance of knocking out all the causes than a one-size fits all treatment like Lipo.

Why settle for a treatment that covers only one tiny bit of the spectrum of tinnitus causes when you can hit them all at once with Tinnitus Miracle?

To learn more about a holistic program without the limits of Lipoflavonoid…
